PRIVACY POLICY

Digital Abacus (“the app”) is developed and published by Bhanu Prasad Mantri (“we”, “us”), an independent developer. This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Digital Abacus mobile app on Android and iOS, and to no other product or service.

None.

The app has no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. It does not ask you for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or any other identifying detail, because it has nowhere to put them and no reason to want them.

Specifically, the app does not collect, request, or access any of the following:

• Personal or contact information
• Account credentials
• Location data, precise or approximate
• Contacts, calendar, call logs, or SMS messages
• Photos, videos, files, or documents on your device
• Camera or microphone input
• Health, fitness, or financial information
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or usage analytics
• Crash logs or diagnostics gathered by us

The app keeps no records. The value showing on the abacus and the entries on the calculation tape live only in the app's memory while it is open, and are gone once you close it. Nothing is written to a database, a file, or your device's storage for later, and nothing is backed up to a cloud service by the app.

The app requests no permissions at all.

The released Android app declares an empty permission list. It does not ask for the camera, microphone, location, storage, contacts, or notifications, and it does not even request network access — it has no ability to open a connection. The app runs entirely offline, and works identically in airplane mode.

The app contains no advertising networks, no analytics or attribution SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no social-media integrations. No third party receives data from the app, because the app sends no data anywhere.

The app is distributed through the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Those platforms handle the download, installation, and any purchase or update independently of us, and they may collect information under their own privacy policies — for example, aggregate install counts, or crash reports gathered by the operating system if you have opted in to sharing them with the platform. That collection is the platform's, not ours, and we receive only anonymised, aggregate reporting from it. See the Google Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy for details.

The app is a calculating tool suitable for all ages, and is often used by children learning the abacus. It collects no data from anyone, and so collects no data from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and there is no mechanism in the app by which we could.

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete. Uninstalling the app removes it and everything in it from your device.

We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA and similar laws.

Because the app holds no personal data and transmits nothing, there is no store of your information for anyone to breach. Data handling risk is limited to your own device.

If a future version of the app changes how it handles information, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the “last updated” date at the top of the page will change. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
